Stupid question
Trying to veiw some of the clips,all I get is a bunch of numbers,characters,and puncuation marks.
Do I need a different viewer?
Any help appreciated.

It sounds liike you are trying to view the code that makes up the video as opposed to actually translating it into a picture with a viewer of some sort.
Try right clicking on the file and choosing the 'open with' option, then 'Choose program' scroll down and look for the Windows multi media viewer or some other viewer you might have installed. You could also click the 'always open with this program' button (if you have the version of windows that offers that option) so that, next time, you just double click the file.
