Belts and Modified Servos?
Does anyone know of a source to purchase 1/2-1" wide light weight rubber belts 3-6" long that can be used with a modified servo to control the zoom function on a SLR Digital camera? The servo is modified so that it runs continuously...Thanks!

RE: Belts and Modified Servos?
You might blend parts from http://www.servocity.com/. These guys have a lot of ways to use servo outputs for other applications. I don't think they have all you need. If you get something like the new shaft adapters.

Then you might have to look at a place like SDP/SI at http://www.sdp-si.com/
You'll have to dig but I know the parts you're looking for are at these two places. These are candy stores to electromechanical geeks.

RE: Belts and Modified Servos?
I keep looking at these. You got me started thinking again. Look for the timing pulleys and timing belts and plastic timing pulleys. Pick a pulley that matches a shaft size from the Servo output drive unit from the servo city site. Pick a belt that matches the pitch, (Teeth) and width of the pulley. You're on you own to figure out the diameter.
