Software/Hardware...
Hi,
Just like to have alittle info here. I am wanting to put my flight vids on puter and don't know what kind of software or hardware I would need.
I have a new Sony Hi-8 video cam and have some type of software called Pixela, but have not had success with it.
Can anyone here please give me some ideas/suggestions?
Thanks,

Hi RS,
You might want to have a look at the following:
Pinnacle Systems
One reference
CNets reviews
I myself am using an Aiptek PenCam and with the included Ulead Video Studio s/w. I have been looking at taking the hours of kiddie video (on analog Hi-8 tape) and digitizing to DV disks. I am close to purchasing the Pinnacle Systems Studio DV but now that I've played with Video Studio 6.0 I'm not sure which way to go.
Some s/w limits duration of the final video project while some limits the output resolution (can you say 320x240 ! yeccchhh!).
Look carefully at the packaging and consider what you want to do. Since I am looking to keep the existing video resolution (and resultant screen size) I may be out of luck (and $$$) for the time being.
But for Desktop/E-mail/webposting purposes, I would consider the two packages I've mentioned here.
Regards,
Roger
