Looking for a LARGE ARF wing
Im building a scratch-built camera plane and need a serious
wing for it, in the neighborhood of 90 to 100 inches.
I hate building and Ive seen some pretty big ARFs, but
only a few offer a replacement wing. If anyone has seen any
other ARFs that may be obscure, not widely advertised,
(unlike the Kadet Senior or other well known ARFs)
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance

Looking for a LARGE ARF wing
call the folks here:
http://www.dbalsa.com/foam_wings/foamwingmain.htm
They might have the wing you are looking for or can cut it.
I bought a foam version of the Senior Kadet wing from them and I'm building a pusher plane with it. There *is* a bit of work involved, you have to add your own leading and trailing edge, but it wasn't too bad... I hate building too
Regards,
Bill

Kadet foam wing
Bill,
Could you explain how you put in the LE/TE on the Kadet wing? I hate building as well and I want to finish my Boomerang II as soon as possible.

Looking for a LARGE ARF wing
Eric,
First I should make the disclaimer that I had never worked with this sort of wing before so I was just 'winging it'
When I got the wing it did not include the LE or TE which I didn't realize, having never done this before.
Fortunately, the LHS had a good supply of LE and TE stock to choose from. I ended up reshaping the LE stock I bought because it didn't match the airfoil very well.
To attach the LE and TE to the foam wing, I started by punching a bunch of small holes in the LE and TE of the wing core so the glue could get a really good grip. Then I mixed some ProBond and water at about a 4:1 ratio. I stirred for about a minute until the ProBond had absorbed all the water and really started to foam, then slathered on a thin layer to the LE and TE of the wing core. Next, I pressed the wood LE and TE onto the core, and ran tape over EVERY seam where the wood met the foam core. This is important because the ProBond expands like nobody's business and tends to squish out of the joint.
Hope that answers your question!

Looking for a LARGE ARF wing
Bill,
Is it still better than building a regular balsa kadet sr. wing? I like the use of foam for strength and I guess easier to repair than balsa. Could be wrong on repairing!

Definitely less work in my opinion. You'll probably hear different opinions from those darn balsa-lovers, but I'm sticking by my answer.

Looking for a LARGE ARF wing
The boomerang that I am familiar with is made by Dave Jones.
Here is his website: http://www.auav.net/
It looks like he has a 'products' page which leads me to believe he might be selling the plane or plans, but I didn't see a way to order.
I recall he was asking around if folks would be interested in plans over on the RCCAM forum, but I don't know what came of that.
touchngow, the pusher plane right now is just the wing, so there isn't much to look at
Regards,
Bill
