Default FPV glitch

Hello. Flew RC planes for a couple of years when I was about 15. Now when I was 39 I decided to giv it a try again. My old planes and stuff had thrown away of course so I decided to start with helicopter. I can tell it was quite fascinating since much has happned with equippment since 1985. After flying helicopters for a year I decided to try FPV. Now this is a real challange for me. Up till now I crashed every time and almoust lost a T-rex 600 with all electronics [link]http://se.youtube.com/watch?v=Un5gNj2oBC8[/link]. Then last week I finally managed to get up and down safely without losing my way [link]http://se.youtube.com/watch?v=14P4ZTRE1M4[/link]. Before I used a 900MHz TX which is supposed to give a very good range. Now this frequenzy is not allowed in my country as it is used by cell phones. I wouldnt mind disturbing a few calls but it would truely be sad to interrupt an emergency call. On one occasion when I gave it a go I lost video contact after only about 100 meters. Afterwars I noticed that I had a large cell phone antenna 400 m behind me. So I recon you have to keep track of these antennas using 900MHz. Now I'm using 1.2GHz. It works great with the 2.4GHz RC electronics. But I wonder if this frequenzy givs a bit shorter range, and maybe its more sensitive to obstacles. When I fly, as you can see in the successfull FPV vid, there is glitching in the screen. It freaked me out and as you can see I turned back. Is the glitching an indication of that the radio contact is too weak? I've seen the glitching also in others vids on YouTube and it seems to appear quite randomly. Does anybody know? /Nuckan.

Default RE: FPV glitch

You might want to seek some serious smart advice at www.rc-cam.com .Glitching happens to most of us but some worst than others. Maybe your area is full of noise perhaps? You seem to have the right frequencies for video thus not conflicting with your heli radios. You also seem to have some good consistencies with your videos so it's not the video tx mounted too close to your ESC or the main power pack bleeding noise to your video.... Strange one you have here... Like I said, try your luck at RC-Cam.
