I'm looking to make some on-board videos with my big gassers. After doing a bunch a web-searching, it seems many people are using the FlyCamOne2 and most are having problems. I thought about the Flip Mino (HD), but before I spend 75-350 bucks, what's everyone using?

I'm not looking for FPV or wireless stuff, just simple video recording capabilites. Thanks!

you can use aiptek cameras. they are pretty cheap and also reasonably good quality. With a 1 gb card you can do over 30mts of vdo recording

the following vdo is taken using my aiptek pencam. In this there is no SD card. but the others have it. They are quite reliable, low cost and hardy. picture and vdo quality is also good.

OK, and how are you mounting these Aiptek camcorders or any brand for that matter?

Remove the canopy of the easystar and just make the camera stand. You will need to adjust the cg by moving the battery deep into the fuselage almost under the leading edge of the wing. Another way is to simply use a paper masking tape and tape the camera flush to the outer side of the fuselage. tomorrow i will take some pictures and show you.

that looks good, i have been away for work, am back just now. will post the way i fasten my aiptek camera soon.

I use the oregon scientific model AT18 it works quite well and comes with multiple straps and mounts. You can pick them up on fleabay for 50- 60 bucks.
