What would help to control the stability of a low aspect ration flying wing (AR = 0.9)? I have read that they can be so stable that anhedral is needed in some design to allow rudder or aileroncontrol. My targets would be a wing that would self stabilise in wind gusts andgentle bankcontrol anhedral would also be a very good feature for my project.I will be testing using X-Pane simulator before starting the actual model.

big or little model it really does not matter - fly the thing and get used to the self stabilizing at low speeds and high angles of attack- THEN- you have a goal to shoot for

Thanks for the fast good lead RMH. The Flying Pizza is a disk type wing. To refine my question: I'm looking to fly the BOX not the actual Pizza. I mean the beast would be 24inches X 27 inches square flat wing. There would be floats as wing tips (anhedral would also be a very good feature ).

I Found plenty of interesting results looking for Flying pizza boxes. Your lead was excellent. Dial up connection is painfully slow. I'm just back to say thanks. I'll be glad to post testing results from X-Plane.
