Default Hoerner tips and Wing tanks

I love wing tanks and I am intrigued by Hoerner wing tips.
Why not have both?
I am designing, in my armchair, how a fully faired wing tank could be made to improve aerodynamics by making it the shape of a Hoerner tip to increase apparent wingspan. Does a Tocano achieve this or is there a better example? Ideas? Criticism?

The Hoerner wing tip deals with vortices and I see no reason why they could not be used as tip tanks, I think it has been done!
