Default Wing dragon

Hey all I have a wing dragon, by my fiugures it has a wing loadin of something like 7.5 oz per sq ft which puts it in the glider range. AGAN BY MY FIGURES I need to add about a pound of weight or cut the wings to aprox. half of what they are to get it into the sport plane categorey. My intuition says no go not enugh motor to do this, I have a new set of wings (first set suffered some from my first flight atempts) so no problems cutting wings or adding weight. Any one have any gues or solid figures as to how much i can cut wings or ad weight to make this plane more wind worthy? I bought this plane just to try to get some stick time and to experement with so any advice or gueses are apreciated.

There is no such thing as too light a wing loading. The lighter wing loading will not affect your top speed. However it WILL lower your landing speed and decrease the time required to recover from a stall. All good things in most folks books. The suggested wing loadings you are reffering to are intended as guidlines towards a MAXIMUM wing loading. For example many of the current 3D fun fliyer models are quite a bit BELOW the usual glider wing loading figures. You don't see them worrying about it.

Just go fly it as is.
