Simple question on fitting up a 45" wing span. Seems I'm a little big on one side of the fuse by 1/16". Of course this occured in final assmbly of a covered wing and I'm really nervous about trying to debond.(usually gets under the monocoat and will discolor it.)
Since the way I build , I usually would now move on to to stab and measure off to the wing for a good center. So obviously the stab is going to be off - but probably not as much, since it only a span of about 10".
So the +1/6" extra will lift on that side . How best to compensate? Should I really be paranoid over the +1/16 ???..... What is the aerodynamics of this? Plane is a bipe
Thanks

That is a very small error. No doubt, you could have other errors just as slight that will never show up. If you do build a "TRUE" airplane, then you will still have forces to fight for that perfect maneover. For instance, with up elevator in an inside loop, you should hold just a touch of right rudder, while an outside loop with down elevator requires a touch of left rudder. And the elevator postion and throttle should change as well thoughout the loop to make it round. Then you may want to distort the true shape of a loop so that it looks round.
And this is after many flights of trimming, thrust and balance changes.
Don't herd your airplane, fly it!

Is this a serious question? I have a friend who contacted a manufacturer about a "defect" that small & the manufacturer just laughed at him. You will not be able to notice any effects whatsoever -- keep building & then go flying. I doubt if there is a single model anywhere in the world that is absolutely true, except by accident.
