Default Questions about wing loading and CG

I would like to know the wing loading for my delta wing. It has 281.25 square inches of wing area. It will weigh about a bound and a half.

Refer to the paint for all dimensions,

Also, How can i find CG for this, it will be a glider if that makes any difference.

Also, Just act like everything is the paint drawing is lined up correctly, It doesn't look all that great.

Thanks for the help,
Chad

wing loading is 1.5 lbs * 16 oz. per lb / (281.25 in^2 / 144 in^2 per ft^2) = ~ 12 oz/ft^2

This seems a little hefty for a glider that size. Particularly where I think reflexed airfoils on flying wings tend to get less lift per area those than on a regular wing (is that right?)

this page has way too much detail on airfoil and CG for flying wings: http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/flywing1.htm You might sanity check by finding the cg for a similar shaped model.

Thanks, That helped TONS!!!

That still is alot less than most trainers, and, I wanted to make sure it would float for a little bit. This isn't really like a thermaling glider, Though i am going to try, mainly just a glider to drop from real high and have fun with.

The .049 size shrike seems like it is about like it, but does anyone know the CG for it?

The aerodynamic center would be 25% of the chord located 1/3 the semi-span toward the tip. The CG should be slightly ahead of that point for positive stability.
