I just got the Lanier Ultimate Pitts..Wing tips are ugly and very un scale..Has any one out there modified the tips to a more scale appearance? This also goes for the elevators..If I put a lite ply forms in the ends or add balsa to the tail will I be courting disaster????Mike Tope [email protected]

Looking at the pic on their site, the wing tips look scale to me.

Remember the Ultimate Pitts has Ultimate wings, which are square tipped. Normal Pitts wings have round tips and are swept back a little less. It is a hybrid plane that Shawn Tucker flew as the 1-800-COLLECT Challenger. I think his new one is a slightly different, custom design.
