Hi all,
I'm building a new plane and am almost done, but I'm having a problem. The CG is too far aft. It is built out of Rohacell (really light foam-like substance) so drilling the aft section out won't help much (I've tried). I need about 97 grams in the nose to balance it up, but as that is about 1/7th the weight of the plane I don't really want to add that much (or any) as it will negatively affect the performance.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this problem?
Thanks,

You could try filling the rear fuselage with helium!
You could try filling the rear fuselage with helium!
That's not all that practical an idea.
You have to mount a scale upside down on a ceiling.
Most ceilings are beyond arm's reach.
So you need a modeller height extender to start.
Then you need to have a helium enclosing device added to the scale.
Duct tape or CA might work here.
And then you have to add enough helium to the device to get 97g worth of lift, as shown by the scale..
And then you have to transfer that helium into the aft fuselage.
Quite a chore..
Using a heavier motor is easier.
