Default Profili registration troubles cleared thx to RCU...

I sent him 10 bucks to receive the registration code to the Profili 2 program about 2 months ago, but I haven't received a word from him...

So a couple of weeks ago I sent him an e-mail to ask if he had received anything from me. I thought maybe the envelope got lost in the mail or something...
He didn't even bother to say wether he had received something or not...

Worst 10 bucks I have ever spent!

Edit: All troubles have been solved... it was a big weird freakin' mix up of some sort...

I had an early version of Profili from Stephano, updated it a month or two back - it works fine and is worth every penny. I got mine by downloading and Stephano E-mailed me the key before he even got my money.
I know of a number of other folk who have all programme - all speak highly of him and the programme. To ignore a message is MOST unlike him - are you sure it got through?

I ordered Profili & payed using Paypal. He responded immediately with the registration info, answered some questions within a day of inquiry & he checks in personally on the yahoo group. I couldnt ask for better service. Best $10 I ever spent.

I sent Stefano $15 for the code on cd because my internet connection is very slow for downloading. I sent it Paypal and a week later the cd arrived all the way from Italy. Works fine. Seems like a good guy to me.

Well then I guess I'm the only one...

I guess there's nothing else I can do except sending him another 10$...

This is the address I used to e-mail him: [email protected]
It is listed on his site and I see no reason why my mail shouldn't get to him. All my other mails get to where they're supposed to be going...

In my mail I suggested to him he opened a bankaccount so people could make the money over to him that way. That would be a lot safer than just sending it by mail.

All the Profili email I have received has used the following from "from" address: [email protected]

The address you noted is included as a contact address in the initial Profili emails I've received, but not in the most recent... dunno.

.
Use PayPal. Works fine.
Stefano has no need to steal your $10.
Someone in the postal system will, though, given the chance.

Did you send a check or cash? If cash, it never left the U.S. border before it was gone. If a check, then you should know if it was cashed or not. Sounds like you just had bad luck to me.

Ok,

So I got myself a Paypal account...

Now when I go to the Profili 2 website and I click the Paypal logo on the registration page, my money will be sent to "[email protected]"... But Jim Trainor gets all his recent mail from "[email protected]"...

Now which address should I use?

I don't live in the US... I live in Belgium, which is about 1100 km (680 miles) from where he lives in Italy (by car that is).

I sent the money to him conceiled in the registration form in a closed envelope, just like he asks.

Just my bad luck I guess...

I looked up my paypal confirmation for you. The payment went to [email protected] where it was successfully received. This account id is the same as his primary email addresses.

The website I got registered on was: http://www.profili2.com/eng/default.htm

If you want, you can try & post a message at his yahoo user group at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/software_profili/
(you have to subscribe to the group first).

Ill post a message to the yahoo group on your behalf & direct him to this RCU link. Hopefully you can figure it iut. Could be something simple like he's on vacation. Good luck.

That's the site I was talking about.

I already sent my payment via Paypal to the adress I mentioned before.
We'll see what comes of it. If I still get no reaction I will have lost 20 bucks and we'll just leave it at that.

A 2 month vacation?? He must be making a good living from those registration fees...

Default About your contribute...

Hi, I just received the PayPal payment notification of Rudeboy, saying also he sent me the contribute by letter too.

These is the first time I received a message from him, surely the prevous letter and e-mail were lost.

I excused a lot with him and denied his payment, because he haven't to pay twice his contribute, and asked him the pc code to send the password, as the standard registration procedure.

I think he was very unlucky, this is the first time both a letter and an e-mail were lost....

I hope Rudeboy can confirm I'm a honest guy

ciao
Stefano

Now that was productive...

It must have been all a big mix up.

I can understand my letter getting lost in the mail or someone stealing the money, but also my e-mail getting lost... that was when I was getting paranoid

As he seems to be a straight forward kinda guy after all, I said he should feel free to accept my payment through Paypal, because he deserves credit for his work.

Anyway, things got sorted out thanks to RCU and fellow modellers... goes to show how useful such a forum can be.

It might be a good idea to go back and edit your first post to change the thread title so as not to mislead anyone who doesn't read the thread.

Yes, you're absolutely right... I wouldn't want to scare people away from a very useful application.
