Default flaps

kenthaas1,

If your problem is that they want to land too fast ( stall speed is too high ), then effective flaps will indeed help you. I would suggest that effective flaps should be inboard, with ailerons outboard. The flap chord should be pretty decent, say about 20% of the wing chord, and max. deflection should be around 30 or 40 degrees. If you know what the flaps looked like on the full scale planes, that would be a good model, no pun intended.

Good luck,

banktoturn
