My cap tip stalls to the right when i get around 30 mph. it snap rolls to the right when i try to bring it vertical at 1/4 throttle to torque roll. I cannot Wall it at all. I know it is too heavy but all the weight is in the nose! what do i do? i have an aluminum engine mount which i plan to change, but i am afraid that it will become too tail heavy, and never come out of flat spins. i am aware that the real cap does that too, but i have to make my loops really wide. However, i can wall it when i am up-side down. Meaning that i have been reduced to torque rolling it from inverted flight.

This may or may not work depending on which CAP it is. Go to low throttle before you start the wall. When you hit full up also hit the throttle. How much throttle is the variable that you have to find for your plane. More elevator throw may also help. The idea is to force it from flying to fully stalled before it can snap.

Because it has such a high wing loading, if i make large but really quick elevator inputs, you can see the plane nose up, but does not gain any altitude and bounces back when released. when i make a turn, the nose is always a little ways ahead of the plane's velocity. It always snaps, and it snaps really quick at lower throttles. My real problem is the fact that the plane is kinda overweight, but all the weight is in the front, take into consideration the cg is as far back as it can safely go.

Light CAPS do this stuff well - but most smaller kits of the CAP are grossly overweight -the exception -is the Sig 321 arf. at 10-11 lbs quite good!
Once they are way too heavy -any fixes to stalling and snapping are pretty remote.
The 40% ones we have done - are gentle in this stuff -but the bigger size makes the effective wing loading much more reasonable than smaller ones

Simply because they are produced for those who want a model which looks like the best of the aerobats -
In reality - most of these buyers are fairly new at flying and tend to break things .
The typical wingloadings are at least 25% over that required for really good performance.
very good flyers can take these rolling stones and make em look good -the new guy on the block tends to become frustrated.
Vote with your pocketbook - next time get a modelwhich is proven to be in the performance /weight class.
if you buy based on initial ad hype - you can easily get burned - look back and read the long term use reviews of some of the heavily hyped models - many of these have proven to be simply too heavy for the job they are supposed to do .
The market is rapidly sorting out the good/bad and the ugly - Look around - some of the new stuff is pretty darn good in this respect - just don't expect miracles .

Which Company would you reccomend then for a .60 or 1.20 size cap or edge? The only thing i don't like about the one i have is it does tip stall to the right at about 25 mph, strait and level flight.

Who produce it ?. Is an ARF.
What is the wing span?.
I own a cap 232 , 66 " from Giant Scales, maybe too heavy too

Frankly - in that size model -you will like do better with a model such as the "Funtana" -or something like that - designed for 3D -and quite light .
The scale models of all the Caps in that size - I have seen -are simply heavy - again, more skilled pilots have few problems in making these turkeys look good but for simply having fun and getting in some good learning of the complex stuff- the very light weight stuff is a better road.
The lightest one I have seen -is the Sig 231 - it can be done at 11 lbs with a 1.4 engine - no mods -

If it stalls to the right consistantly to the right when upright and flies OK inverted, sound like you have wash in in the right wing. Try heating and twisting the right leading edge down to put washout in it. Looking at the rear of the wings you should be able to see it. Although measuring it would be more accurate.

It turns out that our bathroom scale is way out of tune. with fuel, it weighs 7.75 lbs, and i hope to shave about 4 oz of of it by going to an aluminum gear. Mine is fiberflass with a 3/8 inch spring steel wire running through it. As it currently is, the wing loading is about 28.5 oz/ sq ft. it is manufactured by vmar, and i am not too happy with the company. If i can take 4 oz off, it will make it about 27.5 oz/sq ft. The wing area has increased by 24 sq in because i changed the aileron stock from one inch stock to an inch and a half. The ailerons that came with the plane were far too small. This also increased the responsiveness at low speeds, almost eliminating my landing problem. HOWEVER i can wall it when i am inverted, so i have found a way around the problem. If you guys have any more tips, They are much appreciated.
