Thrust angle

This is my 3rd Pilot Edge 540v3 78”. Every one of them has had an up thrust on the engine firewall built in. If the wing is at 0’ then the engine has an up thrust line of +1.5’ and an elevator of -1’.
My first plane I added shims to make it engine with a -1’ thrust line and it flew fine.
The second plane I left with a +1.5’ thrust line and had a catastrophic result. (Don’t know what happened. Uncontrollable)
I am in the process of assembling the 3rd plane and don’t know what I should be doing. It doesn’t make sense to have a positive thrust line on the engine but why would Pilot build it that way?

The only thing I can think of is to help cure a tuck to the bottom while in knife edge. Not how I would have gone about it. The way I set up all my aerobatic airplanes is to set the stab and engine at zero but with 2 degrees of right thrust. The wing gets set to .75 degree positive. Then adjust CG so that no elevator trim is needed.
