Delta
 
Short and sweet question,
Top flite models at one time manufactured a delta wing called the "Holy Smoke"
I am interested in buying a used one from a member here at RCU but he doesn't
remember where the center of gravity should be located. I can experiment with the
elevator and aileron throws.
How do I determine the correct CG on a delta wing aircraft?

Or am I really trying to determine the MAC so I can then Find the correct CG

I think I have one but am unsure if it is the Holy Smoke I am actually trying to verify that it is see my posts in the club house.
If you go look at this link you can see pictures of it.
If it is the same plane let me know and I will check my CG cause mine flies awesome the way I set it up.

The picture o the crash pages is indeed a Holy Smoke" if you can check the cg and email me or post it on the page I will greatly appreciate the help. I have purchased one of these used and
would like to have the correct set up when I test fly it.

The simplest way that I know of to determine the best CG for any unusual planform is to slap together a simple cardboard hand-launched glider with the same planform. The airfoil can be a simple flat plate - it makes little difference. A six inch wingspan is fine, and paper clips are handy for nose weight. Give it a tiny bit of "up" elevator by bending the trailing edge, and a little dihedral, and chuck it around your living room, varying the nose weight until you find the aft limit of CG for a stable glide. Works like a charm.

I have the same question about finding the CG of a delta wing design. one rule I hear was the balance point was the aft side of a triangle equeal to 1/3 the total wing area. I do not know if this is correct or not. if correct or if you have another formula, please let me know. thanks.
