I have had two .H9 EDGES - one a stock airframe - the second one has tips clipped 4" per side and my own little tip plates added planes weigh almost same -etc. the tip fenced model flys the best--best aerobatics (any of em ) flat spins , tumbles, whatever but --the model being 8" shorter on span has been flown lighter /heavier (pound difference with exhaust system changed) don't see any difference in 22-23 lbs weights
the shorter span snaps better and land very easily even at high AOA- that the original stock planform - one thig worth mentioning --the clipped model now has same span as overall fuselage length - this IS proven to reduce tippy characteristics.
I really don't know if the tip plates make that much difference but the oft mentioned "tip stall" just does not happen - you can easily initiate a correct spin entry or departure but it seems the plates may make up for increased wing loading - not sure yet.

Wing fences seem to work well on this model. I do not experience any of the tip stalling issues reported in this thread.

how about add some ringlets at the edge like the boeing 747?

HI I HAD ONE .F-86.. FLEW TERRIBLE!! WING LOADING IS TO HIGH.. NO AIRFOIL TO WING,, JUNK ,,RD

How about adding some trailing edge stock to the wing tips to see if this helps. This may trick the wing into thinking it has some wash out....

Do you mean adding winglets ?

If so I would not do it. They don't solve the problem of tip stalling. In fact they do exactly the opposite, they make things worse.

Winglets reduce the strenght of the vortex, this in turn reduces induced drag. The effect tip vortices have on the airflow is to give it a reduction in effective AOA, but only locally, meaning at the place the vortices are generated => wingtip.
So this has the same effect as having washout, only now it is done aerodynamically iso mechanically.
