36% KATANA BALANCE POINT?
Hi Mark,
Do you recall where your balance point is on your 36% Katana?
The manual says to measure at the wing tip back 6 1/8" from the leading edge. When I do this, my plane is coming out way nose heavy (even with carbon fiber for the stab tube and tail wheel). I am probably going to try and move the engine back 3/4" to see if it will help.
Thanks!

RE: 36% KATANA BALANCE POINT?
Hi Mark,
I tried moving the batteries as far back as possible, but it is still super nose heavy.
Can you give me the distance from the back of your spinner plate to the front side of F-1? (I am calling F-1 the former that the hatch slides into.)
Thank you very much for your help!

RE: 36% KATANA BALANCE POINT?
Randy,
Unfortunately, the plane is nose heavy even with the aluminum stab tube.
I think my only answer is to move the engine back slightly. If it isn't too much trouble, can you tell me the distance between the back of your spinner backplate and the front of F-1? (F-1 is the former the hatch plugs into.)
Thank you very much!
P.S. How do you like how your Katana flys?

RE: 36% KATANA BALANCE POINT?
I hope someone reply's to this. I just bought the world models katana 36% and I thought it was basicly the same plane. From what I understand the plane is coming out tail heavy for most people. Is this basicly the same plane?

RE: 36% KATANA BALANCE POINT?
I have the AW Katana and it balances at ~6.2 inch from the leading edge.
Da100 with 1.5 spacers and four servos in the tail. all stock tubes, landing gear and hardware that came
with the kit. Gas tank under the ply and under wing tube, balance does not change during flight as
the gas goes down.

RE: 36% KATANA BALANCE POINT?
I ran out of money on my project and will probably be looking to sell this pretty cheap (AW 36% Kat).. where would you list something like this? How the heck could you mail it!!! I imagine that would cost a fortune!! Anyways.. I LOVE the plane.. just think for the money I need to move down to the 50cc size. I didn't calculate the maintanance cost like props etc that would constantly cost more.
Good luck everyone with your kats.

Sell it here. Great place to sell your stuff. Although, yes, shipping a 36% airplane will cost a bunch!
