Which Aeroworks 50cc should I get??? I was just wondering which one would be the best set up for the dle 55?? I guess if you asked what style of flying I do the most it would be 3D. The largest plane I have for 3d is the old faithful Hanger 9 Funtana 90. I have a OS 160 on it!! Still flys awesome with the 160! Great on gas you never really get over half throttle! I am just wanting to get into gas planes and start moving may way up to bigger and better things. Just thought I would ask for some help. I already have a dle-55 waiting for a home!
Thanks

You can'nt go wrong with any Aeroworks period. I have the Edge 540 50cc & the Extra 260 and both fly awsome.
The Extra is a little more nimble. Both 3d well. They also have a xmas sale gouing on right now.

The sale runs through the end of the year, or until stock runs out. Any of the 50cc planes will work well, I would go with the one you think you like best. But generally out of the Yaks, Extras and Edges, the Extra and Edge will perform better 3D. But don't over analyze, go with your gut. You'll be happy with any of them!

Will the standard muffler of the DLE-55 fit or will I need to find a pitts style? If so where can I find a pitts for the dle?? Now I am going to have to pick between the edge and the extra??? I really like the edge's, but like the color of the extra's better? I guess I will have to sleep on it...............

Thanks for those pics! That answers my question on the muffler! The stock muffler it is! I just did not want to hack the cawling all up.

on the picture it look huge holes...but believe me it look great, with the airplane on the gournd you dont notice anything. It fits great without braking all the cowling apart. BTW i love the sound of the stock muffler lol

I must say that yellow Extra is pretty darn sharp!!! They make some awesome looking planes. I don't think I can't go wrong no matter which one I choose.......

I haven't flown the Edge myself but generally if you want an all about 3D plane then the Edge will be a bit better than the Extra. The Extra 3Ds well but also does precision better than an Edge.
The Edge will do High alpha better and you will be able to really pull up the nose in a high alpha KE. It will also tend to tumble more violiently.
Here is a more indepth look at the Extra http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...rticle_id=1167

I had the pitts, one of the best flying ships I had, sold it to get a larger Extra 260. I was thinking of getting another one I miss it that much. I am not a 3D guy just a sport/old pattern guy.

I have the Edge and I love the way it looks - have not flown yet due to bad weather...
I would sure like to get that discount - I bought mine a couple months ago
