I think the aero works people have done their homework moving in the direction of smaller affordable gassers.I gather from what I hear H( discontinued a number of their giants recently.the mood seems to be to introduce smaller gas engines although 2 strokers will always be around but for many the trend seems to be 15cc upwardsto 50cc.why not the planes are manageable and can easily be transported in a vehicle and not a 4 grand trailer.plus nitro fuel will continue to just get more costly.the future is bright and glad to see aeroworks being progressive.

I like the new 30cc edge but I cant wait to see the 30cc extra 300. I have a AW 120 yak with a 120ax on it which I used to take 1st place at the Blue Grass IMAC in basic and I just maiden my AW 50cc extra 300 last week and fell in love with it. Bring on some pictures of the extras.

I have the MLD 28cc up front on my AW 90-1.20 Yak... if the 30cc Extra 300 looks better than 30cc Edge (not sure how AW can do that) it will be my second gasser.

I've had the YAK 54 90-120 with an OS 120AX and this summer the S2 Sport Cub with a DLE 55. Both just awesome planes. I have a G26 from Ralph Cunningham that should work great on the Edge 540 or the Extra 300. When is the Extra 300 going to be up on the website? Are you going to offer Free Shipping on the first batch as you have in the past?

It is very difficult to offer Free Shipping on the 30cc size planes do to the cost of manufacturing. My cost to manufacturer a 30cc size plane is very close to the same cost as on a 50cc plane, yet the sale price is only $449.95 compared to the $699.95 sale price of a 50cc plane. Labor cost and manufacturing hours are the same to make a 30cc as it is for a 50cc and the only cost savings is the slightly low materials cost. Also, the 30cc comes with carbon main gear and carbon wing /stab tubes. This makes it is very difficult to offer the Free Shipping discount on pre orders.

The cowl on the Edge 540 is 8" wide. I wonder if the carb on my G26 would fit inside the cowl. It would be nice if the Extra 300 cowl would be the same width. I like the looks of the Extra 300 a little better than the Edge 540.

For us guys that are going to use a different engine, can you give me the dimensions of the engine box? On the width, what is it between the tri-stock? Thanks. I'm thinking it should be about the same on the 540 and the 300.
