Default Throttle servo

I just purchased a Hanger 9 Tiger 30cc. I know I need high torque servos for the control surfaces but is it necessary for the engine throttle? I'm putting in the DLE 35 gas engine. No need to spend the extra money if not needed.

Default Throtle Servo

You don't don't need much torque at all for the throttle, especially if your link is a straight line and moves freely. However, if you are using digital servos on the control surfaces, you must have digital throughout the aircraft, including the throttle.

Sorry but that is a false statement.

Andy, I read this in an article in Model Aviation a while back. I've always thought this was a trustworthy source for advice. If it's not true, I would still use a digital servo just to be safe. Cheers!
