Unique Taildragger

Popped into the Roseburg Oregon aviation gathering today and saw this aircraft. Before I could find its owner, it was on the runway taking off. Very rugged gear and from its takeoff, appeared to be a capable performer. I never saw an aircraft with canted cabin windows like this. Can anyone provide more detail on this aircraft? Most people I asked said it was a modified J3, but it was definitely bigger and meaner!

The L-5, O-49 and a few others had sloping side windows for a better view downwards. The Fi-156 sloped and bulged side windows as well.

Hi Don! Good to see you're still lurking around. Are you doing any modeling at all or is it all full size stuff these days? That is one heck of a modified Interstate but an Interstate none the less. For those interested, here's what it USED to look like.
