Default Autocad vs Solid Edge

I wonder if the engineers and designers among us might be able to answer this. I'm wondering what aerospace companies are using Solid Edge instead of Auto-cad. I'm trying to do my small part in helping a family member line up a co-op job for college. Thanks for any help.

I had an internship last year at Raytheon and also had been to a seminar by Boeing. Both are now extensivly using Solidworks (ProE) software and Catia.
From what I know, Solidwork files can be used with Solid Edge.

Thanks Scott. Apparently, the program he is in is only teaches Solid Edge. Everywhere he has applied for a co-op has asked for Auto-cad. He has decided to get some Auto-cad training on his own. But we're wondering if there is anyone that wants a co-op that has Solid Edge experience.
