I would assume that with the exacting tolerances that today's planes are constructed too, this isn't a big issue but I was wondering: How do you trim a full scale plane after a first flight? Computers get it 99.9999% of the way there, but is there any trimming that needs to be done? Is it done electronically or mechanically? The first plane of its type must need SOME adjustments to fly straight and true. I know you can use trim tabs and such, but is that just left permanently, or are linkages adjusted? What about a fly by wire jet? What about the old wood + fabric planes? Change the stick neutral point?
Just curious.
Thanks
