Default Flight training in Pasadena, CA

Hi,
I am moving away from New Hampshire to Pasadena, CA. I have started my Private Pilot's License already but am going to have to finish it in CA. I have heard that the nearest airport is KEMT. I was looking at flight schools there and the one that I liked the best was Universal Air Academy (www.universalairacademy.com). They apparently have a really good instruction program. They are also really economic. In NH, I pay $108 p/hour for a C-172 wet. An instructor costs $47 p/hour. Would Universal be my best bet.

Thanks a lot.
Mike

Just by looking at the number of aircraft they have and the fact you can rent a 172 for $88 per hobbs meter time, would definatley be fine with me, so I see no reason why it wouldn't be good.

Mike,
I took lessons with F.A.S.T. aviation at El Monte airport in 2000. I still have a block of about $1,000.00 sitting there that I'll never use. If you're interested in using this block, I'll sell at $.75 to the $1.00, could save you a little money.

I took lessons in a small C150, just had to not have too much fuel on hot days he he. I soloed El Monte airport and Bracket airport, and was going to solo Santa Monica airport, but we rab out of daylight that day. After taking the ground school I lost interest in the whole PPL thing, since I can't afford an aircraft, I don't have family or friends it would make sense to fly to, etc. etc.

Let me know if that block could have your interest. I can then look into confirming that it's still sitting there.
