RD 8000 Buddy Box Question
I'm going to teach a friend on Saturday to at least try to fly. Here is the issue. I have two RDS 8000 transmitters. I am using an electric plane to fly. When I push the trainer button on the master box the engine runs at a medium speed. I made sure all the trims are set to zero. That didn't make any difference. I set the trims in the opposite directio and that didn't make any difference either. I matched both boxes with all the settings identical and all other cotrol surfaces work ok. The engine runs on the master box even without being hooked to the slave by pushing the trainer button. What gives, does any one know why the engine is running.

RE: RD 8000 Buddy Box Question
Some early units had this Master/Trainer button issue. If you want to have it corrected you will have to return the transmitter to AIRTRONICS Service. It is a warranty repair. The address is 18480 Bandilier Circle, Fountain Valley, CA 92708
