It having been a few years, since I have done this, is it possible to submit the sanction documents with the AMA online, or do they have to be snail mailed?

Hi

As a CD you can submit a sanction for an AMA event totally on-line and receive the sanction approval via E-Mail.

I just did this for a 2017 club event.

At the AMA Web site:

1. Go to the "Members only home"

2. Click on "Event Sanction Portal"

Works very well. Get a response in a day or two.

THanks for the info and especially the links. We are going to ad a supplemental ad, can that be submitted electronically as well? I would prefer to not have to snail mail anything.

Yes you can do that electronically.

When you submit the sanction on-line it will ask you if you want to order additional advertising. There are two sizes to choose from. You pick the number of months that you want it to run in Model Aviation News prior to payment.

After you submit you payment, I forget how long, you will be contacted by AMA as to which months you want it to run by E-Mail.. You will be asked to E-Mail the artwork about 2 months before the publication date back to the Competition Dept at AMA.

Works well.
