OFF TOPIC as well. I had hoped the spirit of Christmas would turn the AMA discussions toward some cvility and lessen the number of acrimonius posts. I'll wait and see for another week and then drop the AMA Discussions forum so I won't waste my time reading the bile that seems to spill out whenever AMA is mentioned.

"The truth hurts"
If you want to stop the hatred toward the AMA - you need to start at the top and clean house!!

Todd,
The only problem I have with your observation is the definition of truth. When folks who were not at an event tell me X happened and others (MORE than one) who were there tell me that what actually occurred was Y, I wonder who's ax is being ground and why. This whole mess over rule 9 and the jet stuff stinks of someone preparing to run for Dave Brown's job based on misconstrued facts.
Too many rhetorical blasts have been fired by too many people that are simply factually incorrect. I am not sure who is trying to gain from this disinformation campaign, but I have my own thoughts on it. This non-factual garbage has spread all over the net and I do not think it is in any way good for the hobby OR the AMA. That particular problem appears to be a leadership problem, just not an AMA executive leadership issue.
