District V will now consist of Florida, Florida, and.... Florida.
Just finished reading the latest Model Aviation - er - Old Timer's Aviation mag and as always, our District V report from Jim McNeill documents his travels throughout District V (read Florida).
ATTENTION JIM MCNEILL: AMA DISTRICT V ALSO CONSISTS OF ALABAMA, GEORGIA, MISSISSIPPI, PUERTO RICO, SOUTH CAROLINA, AND TENNESSEE. Ever been to any of those places?
Its time for some new representation in D V. Who's with me on this?

Problem is that Florida has so many neat vacation spots and antique shops. And I guess that Florida has a large block of votes so JM is out stumping.
Makes you wonder why D-5 has 18 or so assistant VP's?
Don't worry. You'll get club of the month sooner or later.

we tried it. however our few mmbers (voting) could not overcome the Politcal Machine that MR Jim has created and until the district members wake up-- you are stuck with the Fla Vacations. dick

Gee,, Hope you guys in V don't mind an 'outsider' making a suggestion on this one...
There is a gentleman who is campainging for D-5.. Someone who can tell the difference
between a Cap21 and a Cub, he DOES fly R/C.. Heck, he is even familar with the inner
workings of radios.. Mr. Tony Stillman... Here is a link to him..
http://webpages.charter.net/nneville/nneville/index.htm
Now for you guy in Tenn, Al, Ms, PR, Sc, & Ga, do a 'club night vote'...
Have everyone show up to monthly meeting and provide proof of their AMA
by way of voting privlidges.. Then have everyone FILL OUT BALLOT, and then
assign someone to make sure they are mailed to the CORRECT address....
You can *****, or you can VOTE.. Choice is yours...

I meant nothing by it but considering what happened to Jim I think it would be good to close this thread. We can always revisit this at a later, and more appropriate time, don't you think?

Well, really wouldn't be much point in that, until we see how our new rep works out. Just my luck with the timing.

Your point about the size of the district is valid regardless of the VP.
Unless the AMA is going to pay for the VP to go to PR a couple of times a year
Who knows maybe they do/would???????
