Default ama help

i fly at a local soccer field a mile from home and i dont have ama or joined a club. i have a disabled wife and cant be gone for more than an hour. Driving to and from the closest club field would take that time. Would AMA cover any accidents i may have flying at this site it is owned by our township and run by the soccer association. Or only are club fields covered by ama

In order for the AMA insurance to cover you I think the only requirements would be to have the township's permission to use the field and follow the AMA safety code. The insurance coverage is not limited to club fields.

Why not call the AMA directly. They have a toll free number. 1-800-I FLY AMA

This has been covered in many other threads, but the AMA insurance covers you at any field as long as you are there legaly and flying in a safe manner. They charter clubs, but they do not sanction fields. They do sanction competitions to try to co-ordinate schedules in geographic areas.
