On Bill Vargas
Someone chose to close the thread on what folks think the AMA should be. I suspect is was because Bill Vargas and I got into what some would think is a flame war.
Before I let this go, I need to set something straight. Bill is the Pylon Moderator, and covers the entire RCU site from time to time. He is also a member of the same club I am.
He and I do not always agree on many things. Having said that,
Bill is the guy every club would love to have. He mentors new flyers. He helps me with my planes. He has helped many of us learn to fly better, myself included. He is a GREAT PILOT. He is a competitor and he does compete at the national level. His opinion is just as valid as mine. It contains a different view. His really is a nice guy. You all would love to call this guy a friend.
AMA politics are not his thing, nor does he want them to be. Fair enough.
Oh, and for anyone wondering, no one said anything to me to solict this. I just felt that Bill is being cast in an unfair light, and that I was responsible. And, no, I have not changed my mind about the National Flying Site.

Thanks John,,, Things happen for a reason, good or bad. Yea I stopped it before it got ugly and someone mentioned to me to reopen it,,, so be it.
On to bigger and better things and I hope your veiws about AMA cause AMA to work for you

Yes...but the other one is still open as it should be so people can air their opinions and we can force change. I've seen the bad side of the AMA now and can tell you we should all work together to make it a better AMA with better representation for all modelers needs. RCU will make a difference in this fight with your help.
Remember...always address the opinions and never attack the person for having them...we are entitled to opinions but do be careful how you express yourself so it does not get personal...
