Bill,

Actually, I think one of the better columns is written by Rich.

However, he heads a committee that is looking into what the leader members can do and it would be interesting to see what ideas are being produced. Another committee is trying hard to draw park flyer's into the AMA.

Another example for any of the VP's would be about insurance. Just suggesting to club's that they take a look around their fields and try to make them safer. As an example of that, there is a case now getting close to settlement where a three year old was impaled on rebar sticking up near the flight line. Since insurance was the largest part of the recent dues increase, it would behoove us all to make some effort.

Many of the items the EC discusses could have more press devoted to them and a lot of the questions and misconceptions that the avearage member has might be avoided.

The AMA continually defends clubs that are losing their fields. Consistently, the AMA is not notified until after the fact and the last resort is lawyers being sent in to try and help. Articles about that type of thing might make good informational reading and help stop the bleeding. We lost another 100 clubs last year.

I am sure that there are enough things that can be written about that none of the VP's would have trouble coming up with ideas for years to come.

All of that being said, if the membership prefers to see pictures of themselves and their friends, instead, that is what will happen.

The poll was designed to see what the the members of this forum want, partly at the suggestion of a VP.

What would you like to see Rich's column contain, Bill?
