Default AMA Coverage Question--FLOOD?

Had a flood in the basement (shop). 5" of rain in 5 days, and probably more rain on the way from the looks of the weather report. Window wells in the basement filled up with water and overflowed into the basement. Couple airplanes got ruined.

Does AMA cover that? I don't have any renters insurance to cover it, so AMA is my only option.

I know they have $1000 coverage for fire, theft and vandelism. But not sure about flood insurance.

The coverage is for Fire, Theft, and Vandalism only. Plus liability and medical of course.. Nothing for floods.

Well, anyone want to buy a couple water-logged ARFs? NIB. I'll sell them cheap--but the shipping will be outrageous because of all the water weight.

I guess I'll let them dry out and see how bad they are warped.

If you have flood insurance on your house, you might have some coverage for the planes. Might. If you don't have flood insurance, you are sol for everything, including the damage to your house. I've been down that road. You might be able to deduct the loss from your income taxes though. Check with your tax man.
