I am truly amazed. An entire thread can and will disappear from the forum with no mention of where it went, why it disappeared, or who did it. All you have to do is to pick on the RCU pet. Bet this one won't be allowed to stay here either.

i was the thread starter and i was notified that it had been closed. the perosn that was welcomed to the ama, i can asure you is not the pet of this forum. i new the thread had a short life as it wasnt on an ama topic per say. the mods certainly have a tough job in this forum and i take my hats off to them. i couldnt take it. barry

To be completely honest, and you know I share many of your feelings Bill, but I wouldn't mind seeing all the threads in that vein locked down. Deleting a thread probably isn't the best way to handle it, but at least the more useless threads should get taken care of. When you it gets as dirty and stupid as that one did (and a couple of others) it makes the rest of us that want to post about real problems look as useless and stupid as they are. How 'bout the thread that was claiming everybody in GA is out of the movie Deliverance? It's a shame that they sit around thinking that is real, then turn on CNN to get their news...

Barry's posts pretty much covers it. Some problem threads are cleaned up and left open, some are closed and left where they can be seen, others are moved to an area where they are not visible. I'm sure there are those who feel some problem threads are left to run wild way too long. The moderators make a case by case judgment call. Do we always get it right? No way, but we try.

Like the thread that was removed, this one is also off topic for this forum. RCU has support forums where questions and comments about RCU should be posted. I'm closing this one.
