Does anyone know if DB is running again?

If DB elects to run, that secures a slot on the ballot. If he elects not to run, then he can claim never beaten. OTOH, who was ever beaten other than Earl Witt, yet he was kept off the ballot by the Nominating Committee. He almost made it back by write-in but not quite. That was a tragedy. Earl initiated many good things that others took all the credit for. [:@]
There will be a number of names in the hat. Some already are. Of course Mathewson is there, and I expect Wes De Cou, Hanson, and Frank will all be there, along with at least one other already there.
If Brown stays, will the NC pick their own? Will they pick another that they consider non-threating? Interesting poker game when the outsiders are without any of the cards or chips. [

Red, I really would love to be informed of these interesting prospective changes you spoke about BEFORE the election as right now 'status quo' seems to be the norm. [:-]

1. On-line membship applications for both new and renewing members.
2. Ability for clubs to update club data on-line including adding/deleting members, changes in club offices, etc.
3. Simplified event search - searches can screen for the particular location, distance, type of meet, etc. an individual is interested in.
4. More agressive program to bring modeling to the public as a recreational and educational hobby.
5. Instructor pilot program streamlined with elimination of paper work.
6. New pilot program improvements.
7. Major web site overhall to make it more user friendly.

Thanks Red. Those notes were all in the minutes of the last EC meeting, or at least I saw them somewhere.
I had considered it more "pie-in-the sky". Remains to be seen. Sounds good.
At least, seeing that #4 I feel some of my previous campaign rhetoric has been heard.

Shouldn't that be sport? I know, just a petty semantic quibble, but even OFs should be possessed of memory beyond their last breakfast if they are to run an org the likes of AMA.

I guess it depends on whether you buy your modeling supplies and equipment at a hobby shop or a a sporting goods store. But then I suppose it doesn't matter all that much to those who's main hobby (sport) seems to be picking the pepper out of the fly s*%t in discussions relating to the AMA.

Good catch, Able. Here the term "Sport" is a big thing of mine and I let it zoom right over my head.
