Default D8 VP Sighting

Went to the Brazoria County event this weekend and right over there was Jim Rice. I was impressed. Only time I ever saw the Ex was at Toledo.

Jim talked to everyone and had a note pad, he took notes on, he wrote a few thing down that I spoke to him about. I guess he won't be going to JETERO anytime soon

Cool thing, he was flying with his grandsons. He flew as much as anyone else there, some Kadet wing'ed bi-plane of his own design.

He handed out a Dirty Dozen award to the club members who put the event together.

He told me he has attended several events already this summer and is going to several more. Watch out D8, your VP is active.

AND he didn't leave till almost 5, I had to wait all day long for that guy to leave so I could fly[:'(]

D1 VP apparently has been cloned because he seems to be at every event all day and is still accessable anytime someone needs to talk with him, and he returns e-mails wicked fast. In addition he is smart, funny, understanding and above all else HELPFUL!!!!

Why did you have to wait for him to leave before you could fly????? Were you flying in violation of the Safety Code? or were you afraid he would laugh if he saw you fly?

Doesn't need to. One of his first actions was to appoint Pat Willcox, Jetero President, as an Associate DVP.

I used to see Sandy Frank at events once or twice a year.

Looks like after all these years we actually might have some legitimate leadership in place, I only hope it continues.
