Monday, July 21, 2008, is the final postmark date for the current AMA Leader member to submit his/her ballot for the Bylaws question.
While the first question makes no diff. as they are going to do it anyhow using a "Standing Rule" so the vote is simply relieving while facing the wind. Done deal anyway the vote goes.
OTOH, question #2 is a drastic change in AMA's EC organization with a profound loop hole for someone to find a superior "Retirement" position that requires only some back scratching and patting lower backsides to move AMA in any number of chosen directions for personal benefit.
So if you have forgotten that ballot may I remind you to find it, vote NO, and return it in the mail by Mon.
Anyone can go to; http://www.modelaircraft.org/members...ecminutes.aspx, the EC minutes of 6 years ago and see what was set in motion under the topic of "Captive Insurance" which may now well be coming back to the front burner.
Making the AMA Chief Financial Officer an appointed position, "To the victor goes the spoils" and the elected EVP just a lackey for the EC and the staff, simply removes one more obstacle in the overall long range plan to make AMA someone's private operation for media publications and insurance business agent.
Voting FOR this item is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders. [>:]
