Tomorrow is 2009.
What is the 09 budget for PPP, and how much volume of members do we need to not lose money?
Surely we have the 09 budget planned already,
how much will be spent due to PPP, and how many PPP members does it take to get that much money? If we dont have that many, how many more do we need to be able to 'make it up in volume'. Considering we have to pay the salaries of the folks hired for PPP and for all the swell services & promotion provided to PPP, how many guys at $29 a pop (along with ppp mag Ad Revenue) will it take to float the 2009 ppp expenses? ....uh, what are the 2009 ppp expenses planned?

I suspect he will answer your questions. If not, try someone else. I'm sure many here will be interested to see what you find out.
If you really want to know, of course.

Ken,
Being our only resident PP member, can you find that out for us? I suggest contacting your DVP -maybe he can assist?

One more PPP member that upgraded to open. Do you count the additional $29 in the plus $ column?

Thanks Bill, feel free to do so. Although I don't think you'll have much fun doing it. I'm a pretty boring guy who likes to treat others as I like to be treated.

Errr...Wrong...check again...the post stamp: 1/1/2009 5:41:06 AM is Greenwich Mean Time...our Actual New Year is 6 hours later...1/1/2009 5:41:06 AM - 6 hours = 12/31/08 11:41:06 PM most of the world's New Year hadn't started by that time as well...and this is RCU...Not RCGreenwich nor RC Georgia.
Not sure why you felt the need to take a shot but the next time try to be a little better informed before you open mouth and insert foot once again.

But I am in Texas...There is a lot more world further west and it wasn't a new year for them either. So... for me it was the best response for 2008... I don't know about you...
For most of the world it wasn't a new year as of then either...

rest of the world matters not. it is the time of local in which the statement was made that sets when it has happened.

Well..........That one went downhill pretty fast. Nice try though LCS. I guess I can see where you and I are going to be again this year. Opposing points of the compass. Will you select East or West?

Ok guys, I've had to remove a bunch of posts here. The petty little argument of when a post was made and when it was read versus the timestamp on in factored by where you live was pretty petty and contributed NOTHING to this discussion. Let's the thread back on topic please.

Dang, I lost my post of the year award nomination. Oh well. [sm=cry_smile.gif]
Back on topic.
Looking forward to what KE finds out. I'm sure they will be discussing this at the convention. Perhaps someone that goes could fill us in.

Did he upgrade or did he return to open? Big differance.

He was was a PPP member. Now he is an open member. Sounds like an upgrade.
The system is working. There was a feature of the open membership that appealed to him enough for him to raise his membership status. Maybe the included subcription to MA?
I hear he posts in this forum every now and then. Maybe he can drop by and put in his $.02.

That accounting is exactly why I chose to let Jan1 pass before signing up for 09.
Right now, I am one of the 08 PPP members that didnt renew.
The Jan1 accounting of how many 08 PPPs went where will have my pip in the Quit column.
Soon, as a non-member, I will send my $58 for Open 09.
Till then, I can only fly at the park instead of at the club
.... which is ok too, since I sometimes fly .40glow at the park anyway.
But that is neither here nor there
in repect to the number of PPP members needed to "Make It Up".
It is the dues dollars of the Opens that we are talking about here if the "loss on each" continues.... any Opens interested if their dues are being thrown out the window or at what rate it is thrown .... any care enough to ask what the 09 PPP budget is?
I hope Opens care about it,
cause no mater how many non-voting PPPs care, they cant vote to do anything about it.

Care or not care, all that seems to be out of my control. I pay my $58 dollars and get the most out of my membership every year.
Does anyone else here have the authority to make any significant changes that will matter?

Authority?
Like the kind of authority the Corona boys had over the AMA regarding Paintball?
Or are you talking about the kind of authority a few RCG guys have over the AMA regarding FPV?
How about the guys in the non-discount tier with the power to vote who is on the EC?
If the program is losing money,
it is the Open's money that is being spent... maybe they should care.
This thread is simple:
"What is the 09 budget for PPP, and how much volume of members do we need to not lose money?"
This doesnt require iron fisted action by an authoritarian, it is a question not a directive.
