Horrace, I might suggest a public apology is due to Bill because I know of no place where he has abused YOUR name as you have his. Your constant public disdain for everyone who doesn't immediatly leap to your demands and calls raises question as to your intentions.

For the rest of us, let me suggest that we all take a lesson from the things Horrace does by NOT calling people names or otherwise scorning them in public. After all he IS a specialist at that method of communication with his fellow modelers.

Hey Jim:

Have you washed yourself of the little slime item sometimes around 10/23 where you called me a liar for my reporting on stuff at Bomber Field and you said that I wasn't really there.

Then you go and edit your post to that below without even apoligizing for your stupidity, yet you use such a subject line to grab eyeballs to your fiction.

Oberdick did his turn to me some 1.5 years ago and this ol' elephant doesn't forget SOME things.

Horrace,
I know that you WERE there because you talked to some real human beings who happen to be my friends. They were willing to share the conversation with me, which is much more than you seem to be willing to do.

What I still can't figure out is why you wouldn't crawl out from under your rock and say hello since YOU recognized me.

Or were you scared I might ask some embarrassing questions? Like this one. I have heard that Sandy Frank recently came into a large amount of money. I wonder if he is paying your way (as I asked you in May) or has he promised you an AVP slot for keeping the attention off him? I also noticed that he seconded your placement on the ballot. Was that part of the "conspiracy"?

Horrace,
I tried as gently as I could to get you to back down your filthy and offensive mouth when writing a real MAN's name since he IS someone the voters selected. I know you are unhappy that you have been unable to accomplish that goal, but that is NO reason to be attacking some individual who is not even in the conversation. I do have to admit that IS your normal standard. I have concluded that you are a real piece of work, and wish to make it clear to you that I am still standing by those words.

RE: Rule #9

hey lets remember that the AMA has this rule in place for a reason. now this reason has yet not been found yet:). another thing the AMA is not the LAW except for out at sanctioned fields and even then all they can do is just kick you out for the day. this is the only soultion to the rule and here it is #9 (revised) no aircraft while in forward motion shall touch anything other than there landing gear closer than 50 ft from the designated flight line. now that sounds like a much better rule to me, i just hope they change #9 to say that. basicly my rule would say no touching except in a hover and at least 50ft away from the flight line

Forest Gump said,

Stupid is what stupid does.
So do what you want, fly like you want ,and hope no one gets hurt including ones self. because if something does happen it will be as stated "stupid is what stupid does"

As far as your AMA insurance being valid (and probably any other insurance sincs you have the rules list and KNOW about it) Violating the AMA safety code can void your insurance and in case of an accident move the case out of the realm of a civil suit into a CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE case.

So... go ahed and obey just the rules you want to. See you in 30 years.

***
BTW... ther is this thing yousigned when yo filled out your application to become an AMA member... You noted knowledge of the AMA safety code and promised to obey it.

pesonally i will keep my mouth shut, extend my tailwheel past my rudder and "keep trucking"(or flying in this case)

It never ceases to amaze me to observe (and play with) folks who go the extra mile to stay within the rules! Wonder how many touch and goes you could get that way? I guess the chopper guys have to figure out how to protect the tail vane with a skid. . .

Loophole???

WATER DIPPING!!! It isnt "ground" technically.

RE: RE: Rule #9

The ultimate loophole has already been postud above....

If its part of the LANDING GEAR that touches... it doesn't break rule 9[8D]... put the stupid tailwheel back at the rear of the rudder. Now you can do all the tail touches you want.

It may be a good idea to have the tailwheel on heavier than your normal wire.... and use a good tailwheel bracket (not mount it directly to the rudder) just to give more [X(]credibility[X(] to your "concern for safety"
Of course... I would try to keep the model 25 ft away when doing these tail touches... (that is a legitimate safety concern. if its further awy its less likely to hit you)

Everyone is following the rules so I find it hard to see a loophole.

Somewhere I have a photo of a 35% bird that broke during a water dip. Maybe it was not supposed to be a water dip.

LOL... my prop hits so often... my old nic-name on other boards was PropBreaker. (I used to break a prop each and every flight.)

RE: RE: RE: Rule #9

To hear you guys talk, one assumes that prop's are not part of the landing gear! <<G>>

And to think all this time I thought the prop was used as a ground brake lol. ;)
