Seagull Ultimate 90 gasser suggestions
Hi all!
This is my first post in.....well, years, hehe. I'm getting back into the hobby and picked up a Seagull Ultimate 90 for whopping $170 . I'm definitely going gas and am looking for suggestions. Would the DLE 20 be enough? Would the 30 be too much? I'm not a big 3D guy but I HATE flying around at full or almost full throttle. I like to have lots of power when/if it's needed. What do you guys suggest?
Thanks!
Z

RE: Seagull Ultimate 90 gasser suggestions
Specs
Wingspan: 54.3 in (137.9 cm)
Overall Length: 59.4 in (150.8 cm)
Wing Area: 992 sq in (64 sq dm)
Flying Weight: 9.2–10.6 lb
Engine Size: .91–1.25 2- or 4-stroke
Radio: 6 channels
Servos: 6 digital servos
That's the factory listing. I'm guessing 10+ pounds but don't really know for sure.
DLE 30
Weight: Engine, 2lbs (910g)
Muffler, 2.1oz (60g)
Ignition, 4.2oz (120g)
Total: 38.5oz (1090g)
DLE 20
Weight: Engine: 22.93oz.(650g)
Exhaust: 1.76oz (50g)
Ignition: 4.23oz (120g)
Total: 28.9oz (820g)
Looks like around a 10oz difference in the engines. I don't want to end up with a flying brick if at all possible, lol.

The DLE-30 is NOT too much! That's what I'm using and love it but a 26cc would be plenty. I don't think 20cc is enough other than for relaxing flying.
