I am currently flying the WM Tame-Cat and it is a blast to fly. It can
be a bullet or it can be a ***** cat. Mine is fitted with a GMS 40 and I
put 2 1/2 ounces of weight in the tail to balance her but will be removing
it as she is very sensitive. Pay close attention to the height of the fuel tank
in relation to the engine as it sits a bit high for the way the engine is mounted.
I also had to replace the engine mount as the one that came with the ARF kit
was to small to fit my engine. The only gripe I have with this one is on the
final approach the plane is hard to see because of the color (grey) seems to
blend too good with the horizon. Also pay close attention to the recommended
throws, you don't need to exceed them as this plane can be a hand full it you aren't
to careful. At about a third throttle this plane is a joy to putt around the sky with,
the current prop I have on her is a 10-5 Master Airscrew, at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle
this kitty wakes up and at full throttle, "hang on", she is a rocket.
Not a beginners trainer or second plane by any means unless you have great reflexes.

Well Bill many thanks for the reply and being Christmas morning here in Australia I hope you and your family are safe and well haveing a great day. Not to many replys to my questions but you have come up with the type of answers I was looking for. At the moment I will be fitting a OS46 ax .It will be trainer number 6 . So I have one or two, I started with a Right Flyer 40 which is well used now but still flying I also have the Right Flyer 60 ,its still to be flown but is ready to go. I have also flown many hours on the Dynaflite Butterfly. This Kit may be a bit of a hand full for me but I'm sure the boys at the club will help. I always find the landings a bit of a hand full ,evey thing else is OK. About a week away from the finishing of this one if I keep at it,the weather is excellent for flying here at the moment and flying is more fun than building. All I have completed is the Joining of the wing. Yours Paul T.

Many Thanks Paul, Merry Christmas to you as well, got to get going in
a bit, traveling about 35 miles to see the grand kids and have Christmas
breakfast at the daughters.
You will enjoy the Tame-Cat, before your first landing, at altitude slow her down
just so you can see how she reacts and give a little up elevator as if flaring for
a landing, you will be surprised how slow she will fly, I fly from a grass strip
and if I come in with the nose just a bit high to do a mains first landing I find
that she slows down just perfect.
One addition I will be making to her is fitting a Golden Skies RC nose gear:

I have one on my BH Angel and it works great. Good luck with the plane and
keep me informed as to how you like her.

I flew the original "Jeff Troy "tamecat its how I leaned to fly !!! These are great planes .If you want have some fun take a sharpie , add some rivits and panel lines ect , I added a white and light gray scheme and had a tri color version .
My only concern with the original was the weak front leg mounting plate , dont know if this was addressed in the new version .
New the original designer Jeff Troy , really nice guy and great builder who worked at a hobby shop on Pa

Yes , I was told there was and given a link some time ago . I will try to find it , it was a larger format then the world model and I made mods to it.
I made my own balsa cowl so it was flush and at the time eletric was not practical so I started with a 60 then move to a 90 , in both cases I used a pitts style muffler to keep the front slim as possible .I will try to google it

LDM That sounds like a good combination. If it flys as good as it looks a 60 size model would be the go. Many thanks for the look your having fo me. Yours Paul T
