I have one with an OS 120 fourstroke in it. It doesn't need that much motor, but a fellow flier at my field had one with an OS 91 fourstroke in his and it flew great. The only difference was he had to put a huge hunk of lead on the firewall to balance the plane. I didn't use any lead just the extra weight of the 120 vs the 91. It is very easy to takeoff and land. It slows down to a crawl for landing. The only pain with this plane is transporting it, if you have to take it apart to transport plan on spending about 45 Min's assembling it to fly. Mine will fit in the bed of my Ford F-150 assembled. I have the flying wires on mine also, there is a trick if you have to take it apart for transporting. Take the prop and landing gear off, then UN screw the center wing support from the fuselage, then UN do the wing bolts and the fully assembled wings will slide off the fuselage. That way all you have to do is slide them back on, 4 screw and two plastic wing bolts later and the wings are back on, put the gear and prop back on and your ready to fly. Have a GP Tiger Moth & its a winner. Using OS91 surpass which is plenty of power. Field assembly will take at least 15-20 min even without flying wires - you can leave them off - who sees them in the air?
Flies great, but land real slow & give up on touchdown or it will ground loop easily.
Needed 8 oz lead up front with 91. Better to push engine out a little, but watch for cowl mounting.
