Hey Guys, I have a favor to ask. I'm building a cl-415 and plan to make the horizontal stab two piece. So I'd like a CF wing tube about 1/2"-5/8" x about 15"-18"
Mny ARF's replacement wing tubes are very cheap compared to the prices for 60" lengths + shipping
If you know of one or two in the range please let me know, I just can't get much thickness and length info from the manufacturer's sites
Thanks

Ram,
Thanks those are much better prices, but some of the ARF replacements are less than third of that on ebay.
I guess some of those $$ would stay in Ohio though
If I can't find it I'll shop there
Actually looking over his site the aluminum ones with sleeves are pretty reasonable,, I may go that route
Happy new year

I'm a penny pincher when it comes to my scratch builds, it goes way back to when I couldn't afford to pay much for my hobby fix. That why I taught myself to scratch build, I couldn't afford kits or ARFs. Now that I can afford the CF something instinctively stops me from spend $40 If can spend just $10 and do the extra work of making a sleeve myself. Go figure?

Along those lines,
It took willpower, but I went ahead and ordered a tube/sleeve set from TNT, they sell some servo horns I was planning on buying for another project, so I killed 2 birds with one shipping charge
Thanks for the tip

While I understand the desire/need to be frugal, just a hint from the IMAC/3D guys on carbon fiber tubes; it isn't the place to go looking for the cheap stuff as QA on those items can vary greatly. Going with TNT gives you a reputable dealer with quality stuff.... [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

He sure did,,
Well I hadn't heard anything from TNT yet so I shot them a email,, They were waiting on a few servo arms that were back ordered. I told them I'd pay the extra $2-$3 to mail the servo arms out when they got them, because waiting on the wing tube had me at a stand still. She said she's mail the Tube/sleeve asap and eat the cost of shipping the arms later because they were out of stock,, Now that's great customer service.
