1) Build a Stinger 1.20 and put a Quadra 42 on it

2) Adding new features and running Torqueroll.Com

That'll keep me busy enough.

Default Sig Extra

Matt, Hobby shop guy, (jim at Dougs in Waldorf) said the RCS 180s are on back order so I had to rethink that plan. I chose to go with the ZDZ 40 instead. A little more hp and a little more $$ but only a couple more oz. Gonna put Hitec digitals in the plane. four 5645's in the tail and a pair of 5625's in the wings. I have half of the servo's but when Jim ordered the others he got the one's with JR connectors and I use Futaba so I am still waiting on the servo's.

WILD HARE R/C 28% EDGE

Still undecided on engine choice...hoping the DA-75 becomes a reality soon. If it's anything like it's big sisters Extra & Giles this plane will be a HUGE SUCCESS....

Not to mention Tom Fawcett's excellent support not only here at RCU but through personal emails as well--other companies should be following his lead in this area!

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE UPS MAN TO SHOW UP!

My Extra was finished a couple of weeks ago. I took it out and flew it for it's maiden flight on a Sunday afternoon. Very nice plane but I wasn't too inpressed with the engine. couldn't get more then 1/3 throttle out of it and it wasn't transitioning well. Second flight it deadsticked but luckily I got it onto the ground with no damage to the plane other then a broken prop. The engine hasn't run since. I think it is a fuel draw problem. Whatever the case I am not a happy camper. I really have too many irons in the fire right now to mess with the thing so it's kinda on hold. Also in the pattern is a Waco .30 with a OS Wankel engine and a GSP 72" Katana and also the 80" model of the same plane. I guess you could say I am a glutton for punishment. If I didn't have to work for a living I could probably get all these things built!

Matt:

My Fall/Winter project is the new Wild Hare Edge 540T. Already have a DA50R for the power plant. Also (finally) bought myself a crimper, heavy duty servo wire and ends. I plan on making all my own wire runs in this plane. (Looking for a cheap source for Torrid rings for the wires to reduce RFI.) I'm looking forward to this plane. I have a lot of plans for it. At $399 for the first shipment, that's not too bad of a price for a plane of this size and ability in ARF form.

Also this Fall/Winter I'm going to clean up the mess in this work room!!!! (Ya, right..)

P.S. All 5945 Digitals all around. They are sitting here waiting for the Edge...

I see I am not alone, but one of my projects will also consist of a Wild Hare 28% Edge with a DA-50R and HiTec digitals throughout... cant wait for mine either!!

Project 2 will be to finish up my little Lanier Stinger .10 with a redesigned tail that includes counterbalances, larger ailerons and possibly another, bigger, whacked out wing that is more along the lines of an Edge 540 wing with the 2.5" center of the trailing edge moved forwards enough so it will fit in the factory cradle but still have like 30% more area. A Saito .30 four stroke is planned for this project I think... I will 3D that little thing yet!!
