buddy, I'm a little curious, where did you get this plane? that's not the fuel tank that suppose to come with this model, it comes with 455 cc tank, and it suppose to have a plywood tray where you secure the tank. by the way, the nose gear is backwards the spring goes to the back.

I swapped the supplied GreatPlanes fuel tank for this DuBro.
The spring has already been installed facing to the rear, while installing the wheel pant.

Throttle flexible cable ( Sullivan ) installed.
As you can see, the engine came with that glowplug that has a round head & an idle plug (?)
I immediately swapped it for an O.S. type #F four stroke glowplug....

The x2 screws that hold the canopy in-place.
I used x2 washers, x2 of the supplied Philips screws and x2 blind nuts.

why replacing the supplied fuel tank? it fits perfectly in place and since you are using a bigger engine, some extra fuel won't hurt. hey there is the plywood tray right behind your chair!

For safety, i used small DuBro Super Blue Silicone fuel tubing between the washer of the screws and the wood.

Maiden Flight today 29th of May
All went smooth but the wind was arround 7knots....
The only negative was the aftermarket muffler.....it came loose on the maiden flight after 3-4 minutes in the air....
And it came loose with only the exhaust fuel line ( pressure line ) keeping it from falling-off.....BUT the engine didn't die, she kept runnin' and eventually i land it safely, without using the flaps.
I tried the stall characteristics and without flaps you can use your ailerons from keeping the wing horizontal, while the airplane looses altitude gradually.
If you then use flaps @ 30deg. as mine are set, then you have a *glider-like* airframe,no kidding!!!
It is unpossible to stall it.....
The Saito FA-80 @ APC 12x8 gives the airframe very very nice power. At WOT the airframe can climb vertically effortlessly!
Soon in HD video Stay tuned.....
