Yes. The aileron bottom should be flat with the bottom of the airfoil.
Also, here is a tip for priming your engine. Instructions say cover the carb intake and spin the prop to draw fuel into it. If this doesn't work, and it never did for me, unplug the hose on your muffler. Blow into it until you see fuel going to the carb. Careful not to flood it though.

what engine's settings should I keep in mind just before my flight?
Just before starting my engine what should I do to make sure there is no engine failure etc... inflight? If I find the same person at the field then I think I shouldn't have any problems. But still I need to know incase I don't meet him
Thank you

I wouldnt touch the settings if you havent broken it in yet. I have my high speed needle set at a few clicks counter-clockwise from the factory settings. You should get help though, i doubt you will be the only one at the field. And how fast does the avistar go stock? I want to know too and havent heard any answers.

I am going to fly the Avistar tomorrow.
Let me tell you what I've understood so far for starting the engine by reading the book. Please let me know if I've forgotten something or missed something.
1) Fuel the tank! but how much? dont know that.
2) Heat the glow plug.
3) Turn the engine counter clockwise until the engine starts.
4) Remove the HOT SHOT GLOW STARTER when the engine starts.
What is the story behind the needle? I couldn't understand that. What settings should I have it on? Close? or 1.5 or 2 turns open from the close position?
