Default Second battery

Hello,

I just purchased an E flite Apprentice 15e and have flown it 5 times so far. Love the plan!Have had two minor crashes, no damage at all.

I would like to get a second or third battery but wanted to see if there is something bigger I can get to increase flight time. It comes with a 3200mAh 3-cell 15C 11.1V battery. Can anyone recommend a "upgrade" battery? I understand Ishould be save to go for a 20C battery.

Thanks!

You can go as high a C rating as you want, the penalties are higher cost and slightly higher weight.

You can go to Hobby King and get decent deals on batteries. If you want more flight time you have to go to a higher Mah battery, but stick with 3 cell.

Just make sure you dont go too much bigger or it may not fit and it will weigh more. Personally I'd just get another battery or 2 in that size range.

check out these batteries from hobby partz..... link= http://www.hobbypartz.com/83p-4000mah-3s1p-111-20c.html ive been using them for the last 2 years and they work very well and the price is right .

i use them in my electrastik and my pulse 25E and get about 8 to 10 minutes of flying time with a little to spare for a go around if needed...

i also have 4 4s 5000mah packs from them for my H9 B-25 which i will be maidening very soon if the weather ever cooperates.......

Better still purchase the bananna to EC3 adapter they sell, and you will not have to do any rewiring with future packs...
