KangkeUSA Dragon 90 - What 4-stroke Engine?
Hey Guys,
It has been a while since I posted here, but I am in the process of purchasing the Kangke Dragon 90. It looks like a solid platform for a solid engine. Because I always used 2-stroke engines, I would like to dip my toes in a nice 4-stroker. I am buying the plane as a nice 3-D trainer (Cannot beat the 99$ price tag now *Clearance*).
So, what would you guys recommend I get? I want to keep it under 400$...
Thanks!
Samolot

I think that one is discontinued (Says Tower). Would this be a good replacement?

Also, is this engine's displacement powerful enough? I was thinking of a 4-stroke 1.00 or 1.10. Then again, I am not a professional.
Thanks

I went with the OS. 95. Figured if it is in production, it will be easier to service and get parts when necessary.
Also picked up a 14x6 and 15x6 prop and an extra glow plug... oh and an inline fuel-filter, fuel tubing, new glow starter, new electric starter, a new pin vise set, and a 3" spinner with an aluminum back plate... god I hate this hobby sometimes...
Will report on how she goes! (Probably not for a while though).

ORIGINAL: SkyPilot101
Saito 125 would have been my choice
Saito 125 would have been my choice
My Saito 115 pulls a APC 16X6 @ 9,000 rpm, tuned down to 8800. Strong engine. Starts every time with ONE back flip, hot or cold.

OS FS95V <- ROARS!!!
Never saw that much raw power coming from a glow engine. A 95 four stroke is more than enough power to do unlimited vertical and pull out of a hover on this plane. Funnest plane I have ever had. The OS engine started up great and after half a tank of fuel, I was convinced it was ready to for action. I flew twice yesterday before having to leave early, but boy, were those some flights. Very happy with the airplane and extremely happy with the engine.
Thanks Minn for the recommendation!
